About Becca
I have been a TA at Penn in both Computer Science and Philosophy, so I am comfortable with a variety of teaching methods and types of learners. I am now a Head Teaching Assistant for the introductory programming class at Penn, so I have experience creating curriculum to teach beginners how to code! Through my Computer Science coursework I have taken through the linear algebra sequence and in high school I was the highest achieving math student in classes through multivariable calculus, so I am comfortable teaching any of these courses! I really love math and I look forward to sharing my excitement with students.

I have been tutoring math since I was in middle school, and I love exploring new problems and ways to explain concepts. A typical lesson includes a creative explanation of the basics, often through a fun example or analogy. I love to create practice problems and work through them with students as I believe this is the best way to learn. My strategies include coming up with memorable phrases or ways of thinking about concepts in algebra, geometry, or calculus. I can teach any math subject up through AP Calculus BC, as I have taken classes up to linear algebra in college.
