I always begin with a trial lesson so I can get to know the student, understand their current level, and learn about their musical goals. Whether you are a complete beginner, returning to piano after a break, or looking to develop your technique and musicianship, I create lessons around your individual needs and interests. My goal is to make every student feel comfortable, supported, and motivated from the very beginning.
I teach students of different ages and levels, including children, teenagers, and adults. Lessons can focus on building a strong foundation, reading music, piano technique, repertoire, music theory, or preparing for performances and auditions. I also enjoy helping students who simply want to learn piano as a hobby and develop a lasting appreciation for music.
As a music graduate from USC with a background in piano performance and music production, I bring both classical training and a broader understanding of music into my teaching. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style, explanations, and lesson materials according to the student's personality, learning pace, and goals.
When choosing a piano teacher, I believe it is important to find someone who listens to you and understands what you want to achieve. A good teacher should do more than simply assign pieces—they should help you understand the music, build confidence, and enjoy the process of learning. My goal is to help each student make steady progress while developing a genuine and lasting connection with the piano.
