About Evgeniya
I’m Evgeniya Kaykova, a Vaganova-method ballet teacher with a master’s degree in ballet and choreography from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow. I’m ACB Certified (Australian Conservatoire of Ballet) and co-founder of The Centre of Dance, located in the heart of Bulimba.
I completed my classical ballet training in Moscow with honors and spent over a decade touring internationally with ballet companies. I also performed with the Moscow State Theatre and participated in international competitions, earning several diplomas along the way.
Since relocating to Brisbane, I’ve become a principal dancer with the Brisbane Ballet Company (Ballet Infinity) and earned my RYT 200 Yoga Instructor certification, teaching yoga across various studios in the city.
Teaching has always been a core part of my journey — from ballet and barre to stretching and yoga, working with both children and adults. In January 2024, I opened my own studio, The Centre of Dance, where I teach daily classes and prepare students for competitions, auditions, and showcases, offering coaching in classical ballet variations at all levels.

My ballet classes are customised for all levels of physical endurance and are great for both men and women of any age, including beginners who are interested in experiencing the benefits of classical dance. In my classes, you'll be able to:
• Correct your posture
• Alleviate back pain
• Harmoniously strengthen your muscles
• Improve your flexibility
• Practice sitting in the split position
• Learn to dance gracefully and with pleasure
• Fulfill your childhood dream of becoming a ballet dancer
Here's what you can expect in each class: We'll start on mats, warming up and preparing our bodies with special movements to get ready for barre exercises. Next, we'll move to the barre for a few exercises to work on body strength and flexibility. (For online lessons, the back of a chair or a windowsill can be used as a substitute for a barre.) Finally, we'll move to the center of the studio to dance, jump, spin, and have a lot of fun! I also provide classes for children aged 6-16 years to professionally prepare them for Ballet Academy auditions.
