About Jasmine
Motivated and reliable first-year Arts student at Flinders University with a strong passion for English and education. I am dedicated to supporting students in building confidence and achieving success in their academic studies.
With experience in fast-paced environments such as customer service, cafés, and retail, I have developed excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt quickly, qualities that translate strongly into tutoring. I am known for my positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to build supportive relationships.
As an English tutor for Year 7–10 students, I create structured, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs. I aim to foster confidence, strengthen core literacy skills, and help students reach their academic goals in a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and supportive. I focus on building confidence first, as I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
I use a clear, step-by-step teaching method:
Begin with a short recap of previous material
Introduce new concepts with simple explanations and examples
Practice together through guided exercises
Encourage independent practice
End with feedback and a quick review
I emphasise:
Strong grammar foundations
Structured essay writing techniques
Reading comprehension strategies
Critical thinking and text analysis skills
Exam preparation techniques
I also use real exam-style questions, model answers, and structured writing frameworks to help students understand exactly what examiners look for.
