About JJ
I’ve been coaching high school basketball for 9 years and have worked camps and run private lessons for 15+ years. As a former NAIA college player and national runner-up, I know firsthand what it takes to succeed at the next level. In high school I scored over 1,000 career points and led the state in 3-point shooting, achievements that shaped my passion for teaching the game.

Description:
I’m a current Varsity Head Basketball Coach with over 15 years of experience running camps and private lessons. My teaching style is hands-on, positive, and skill-focused, designed to build both confidence and fundamentals in every athlete.
My Teaching Method & Techniques:
I use a proven combination of fundamental skill drills, game-situation scenarios, and video breakdowns to help players understand not only how to execute but why. Sessions are structured to develop footwork, ball-handling, shooting mechanics, court vision, and decision-making under pressure.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Dynamic warm-up and mobility work
Ball-handling and footwork drills
Shooting form breakdown and repetition
Game-speed offensive and defensive scenarios
Personalized feedback and take-home drills
