About Betsy
Shifting positions, double stops, and ear training form the core of my technical approach. Tone production and tuning by ear are areas I find tricky to master alone. I have 6 years of experience refining these mechanics.
My BMus Violin Performance degree from Queensland Conservatorium informs my work with students. Developing rhythm, timing, scales, arpeggios, music theory, and bowing technique is how we build your foundation. I am ready to help you reach your goals.

Do you find specific phrases difficult to navigate during your home practice? Recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice is a core tool I use to bridge the gap between sessions.
My BMus Violin Performance training ensures we address your intonation issues early. We focus on clarity in your bowing and hand placement to ensure you hear measurable progress. I provide clear instructions that allow you to work effectively while you are on your own. You will find that these recordings provide a steady guide for your daily routine.
We will break down complex sections into smaller movements for better focus. This method creates a clear path toward your exam requirements. Practice becomes more productive when you have a reference point for your sound. We will refine your technique until the music feels entirely natural.
