About Fiona
Bluegrass festivals across the American South defined my early days of playing. I spent 13 years soaking in that raw, acoustic energy before earning my BA in American Roots Music at Berklee.
These days, I work with self-taught players, kids, and adults who want to understand the instrument better. Helping people get comfortable with their posture and bowing is my specialty. I bring 11 years of teaching experience to the table for every student I meet. It is a joy to keep the music moving along with you.

Good technique is actually quite simple once you stop overthinking it. I utilize my Berklee background to help you master spiccato and staccato bowing. We work on ABRSM or Trinity grade exam prep together. You will also learn to tune by ear and build your rhythm.
My lessons include free bowing and posture reference notes after each session. It is always a pleasure to see someone get their timing just right.
