About Samina
My name is Samina, and I am a student working towards a Bachelor of Music (Performance)/ Bachelor of Advanced Studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. I have played the violin for 14 years and received an LTCL (Licentiate of Trinity College London) in violin which is "comparable to the final year of an undergraduate degree in terms of level of demand", as well as Grade 8 in piano under the ABRSM exam board. I am also currently a violinist in the SYO flagship orchestra and the Sydney Concert Orchestra
I have been teaching for two years and can do so in english, cantonese and mandarin.

I think it is important for a teacher to be patient, adaptable, and of course passionate. Each lesson is tailored to the student so that we are able to make the most of the lesson time while still having fun! Regardless of whether the student's goal is to have fun or to pass an exam, I will support them on their journey.
Lessons can range between 30mins, 45mins, and 1 hour. Lesson materials differ between students and their abilities, but I usually start with the Strictly Strings Method and move on to Suzuki Violin Method, integrating AMEB technical work and exam pieces as they improve.
