About Macy
I am a violin tutor with 8 years of experience and a PhD in Violin Performance. I enjoy helping students build confidence by making violin learning enjoyable, practical, and rewarding.
My lessons focus on developing strong fundamentals while encouraging creativity and personal musical expression. I support every learner with patience and clear guidance throughout their musical journey.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing chamber music, studying advanced string techniques, and creating educational practice materials. These experiences help me bring valuable performance knowledge into every lesson.

My violin lessons guide students toward confident playing through structured learning and enjoyable practice. We study posture, bow control, finger placement, rhythm, intonation, scales, tone production, string crossings, and musical phrasing using carefully planned exercises and engaging repertoire. Every lesson encourages steady improvement in a supportive environment.
As students continue progressing, we practice shifting, vibrato, sight reading, ensemble playing, recital preparation, ear training, musical interpretation, and efficient practice routines. I provide personalized coaching that helps learners strengthen technique while expressing music naturally.
My goal is to help students become confident violinists with strong technical ability and expressive performance skills. Every lesson builds musical discipline, creativity, and lasting appreciation for violin music.
