About Willa
I hold a Master’s degree in music and have been teaching violin for eight years, working with students of all ages and experience levels. My background includes both classical training and modern teaching approaches, allowing me to adapt lessons to a wide variety of goals. Over the years, I have guided students through school performances, exams, and competitions, helping them achieve personal milestones and build confidence. My teaching style combines patience with structure, ensuring students stay motivated while steadily improving both technical skill and artistic expression. For me, the violin represents more than technique—it is a way of communicating and connecting through music. My goal as a teacher is to inspire students not only to master their instrument but also to discover creativity, discipline, and a lifelong passion for playing.

My violin lessons begin with the essentials of posture, bowing technique, and tone production, ensuring students build a strong foundation from the start. Beginners work through simple scales and exercises, developing confidence while learning how to create clear sound and accurate notes consistently.
As students progress, lessons expand into intonation, phrasing, and rhythm. Learners practice increasingly complex pieces, explore different styles, and gain fluency in sight-reading. I combine technical drills with expressive music-making to keep lessons balanced, structured, and motivating for every individual learner.
For advanced students, sessions focus on performance readiness, interpretation, and stylistic depth. Learners refine their dynamics, articulation, and stage presence while preparing for recitals, auditions, or personal mastery. Each lesson is tailored to challenge ability, encourage growth, and nurture a love for music.
