About Ian
With 11 years of dedicated experience in teaching violin, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my students. My specialization includes advanced techniques, intricate bowing methods, and in-depth music theory, all tailored to meet the unique needs of adult learners. My approach focuses on helping students achieve their personal musical goals, whether they are looking to refine their technique or explore new genres.
Outside of teaching, I am deeply passionate about music and its various forms. I enjoy exploring different genres and incorporating them into my lessons to keep the learning process dynamic and engaging. My love for music extends to attending concerts, participating in local ensembles, and staying current with the latest trends in the classical and contemporary music scenes.
In addition to music, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me inspired and balanced. I enjoy hiking, which allows me to connect with nature and find new perspectives that often influence my teaching. Photography is another hobby of mine, where I find joy in capturing moments of beauty and translating them into creative expression. These activities enrich my life and help me bring a fresh and enthusiastic approach to my teaching.

Whether it’s through exploring classical pieces, modern compositions, or improvisational techniques, my aim is to make the learning process both challenging and rewarding.
