About Opal
I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, specializing in violin performance. My background spans solo recitals, chamber ensembles, and full orchestral performances, giving me a well-rounded perspective on musicianship. I work closely with students to develop confident stage presence and polished performance skills. Audition preparation is a key focus, helping students approach each opportunity with precision and poise. I guide learners through the interpretation of advanced repertoire, emphasizing musicality, phrasing, and expressive nuance. My students range from high school performers to conservatory applicants and competition entrants. Each lesson is tailored to meet individual goals while challenging them to grow technically and artistically. I provide strategies for overcoming performance anxiety and refining technique under pressure.
