About Joana
Degree in Music - Interpretation - Violin by the University of Minho. I started my musical studies at the age of 6 at the Conservatório - Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira. I studied with professors Vladimir Proudnikov, Yuriy Kyrychencko, Eliot Lawson, Ilya Grubert, Pedro Oliveira. I held Masterclasses with some violinists, of which I highlight Alissa Margulis, Wibert Aerts, Anton Martynov, Luís Pacheco Cunha, Sergey Schwarzburg Arutyunyan, Matteo Valério, Ana Beatriz Manzanillo, Liviu Scripcaru and Valentin Stephanov.

My violin school and methodology are centered on the Russian School, a methodology that is designed for each student taking into account their bases, needs and availability of learning. My professional experience in the field of pedagogy included my work as a teacher in the violin class at GIG Music School (Madeira Island, Portugal). I am a freelancer making myself present in different contexts and still in groups, covering different formations that comprise different styles, from Classical to Pop. I collaborate with the 430 Vigo Symphony Orchestra. My teaching is comprehensive for all ages, including students without musical training.
