About Marina
I consider myself sort of a free spirit when it comes to singing. I started my learning journey with the usual structure, with the usual exercises, with the usual performing exercises, everything seemed to be 'correct'. While learning I always thought I was 'ok' as a singer, just ok, nothing special. I didn't feel connected to my voice, imagine how disconnected I felt from my true inspiration. It was all just correct. After graduating, I performed in theaters with my singing and acting group. It was liberating yet not enough for me to feel like my voice had something special. After a while, I felt like I wanted to know if I could do MORE, or if it was just how I had learned it "should be". I left all the structure sitting on the bench for a while, so that I could truly explore and see what I wanted or could actually sound like. I found I had such a versatile voice that I didn't even know about, no-one had ever taught me that I could do more than just sing "correctly" or performing what I was told to perform, no-one had ever shown me in my countless lessons that you could actually get in touch with your own soul while singing (yes, I know it sounds like a bit cliché but that's exactly what you feel when you truly connect with the power of your own voice). The confidence I gained in my voice, not only for singing, but for life in general after that was unbelievable, really, I found a whole new side to me as a singer and as an artist. And that's exactly what I aim to reach in my lessons. Now an interesting and maybe useful fact! I'm bilingual, my first Language is Spanish, English is my second one, so I can teach in both languages, depending on what each student needs! I've always liked to explore beyond the barriers with my own voice, and I like to teach that as well. Experiencing, feeling, getting to truly know your voice, and knowing how you can do things with it you probably didn't even know you were capable of. I feel like singing it's a way to connect to ourselves in a very special way, one that shows you how much you have inside, and how beautiful and unique that can be. I want to teach you how to connect to that, so that you can experience the power you have inside that can make you and others feel so much, 'cause singing can make energy and emotions literally move and transform. I want this class to be not only a place to learn but also a space to feel grounded and in connection with a part of yourself that maybe hasn't found a place to really expand just yet. That's what singing did for me and I want to give that back to the people that want to learn with me.

Perfect! First lesson with Marina was awesome and fun!:) We started with exercise to loosen up the body and did some voice exercises. We tried a song after, Marina has a very keen ear and detailed teaching - I found an instant improvement with my vocals fixing the bad habits and using the technique she teaches.

Perfect! Marina has a good way of helping me relax so I could focus on learning. I find her instruction encouraging and non-judgmental. Working with her, I've been able to do new things with my voice in a short period of time -- despite that I don't really practice between lessons. Even though the lessons are online, she is able to detect what I might be doing wrong when I hit a snag (or "crack"), and how to adjust it. Also, she has an easy going personality and it's very comfortable to take lessons with her.
- We had a great start! She managed to get better within the same class, her first class ever, no less; she understood and implemented all of the tips I gave her. In addition, I think that with a little bit of practice she will be able to develop a great pitch memory, given that she's already off to a good start.Marina's response :

The best thing about having Marina as a teacher is that she truly listens to what one has to
say and adjusts the exercise accordingly to the necessities of the person and helps you get
where you want with your voice. She made me feel really comfortable from the beggining, I'm really enjoying her lessons and her energy.helloo, I've recentely sarted having classes with Marina and I must say I really feel I'm getting better at this, I like the pace we have and how different the classes are from the ones I took when I was younger, these feel more intuitive and fun
Hi! I'm so happy to have met Marina last year through our online classes. My cousin told me about her and I immediately felt comfortable with her. I tried to improve my technique with other teachers before, but I couldn't quite get the depth I needed to actually feel like I was growing as a singer, I used to feel like they just taught me the techniques with no soul. I'm happy with Marina 'cause she is definitely in it out of passion.
I'm from Spain living now in Ontario, and it has been very difficult to find a singing teacher who could understand what I needed. Marina helped me out very much and I really enjoy our classes. 10/10 totally recommend her!
