About Takaaki
Takaaki Matsumoto is pursuing his MM for vocal study in the Longy School of Music.
Native of Osaka in Japan. He came to the US in 2019.
Among his prior roles include various operas such as G&S's "Iolanthe" as Peer act 1 and Private Willis Verdi's "Traviata" as Giuseppe, Commissioner and Flora's Servant at Opera North, Libby Larsen's "Silver Fox" as Squire (cover) and performed in the chorus, as well as roles in "The Pirates of Penance" by G&S as Samuel at Marblehead Little Theatre, in the chorus of "Alcina" by Handel, as Baron Pictordu in "Cendrillon" by Viardot, as Waiter in ”Roman Fever” by Robert Ward(Canceled due to Covid), as Sylvester in ”Three Sisters Who Are Not Sisters” by Ned Rorem (Canceled due to Covid), as Guglielmo ie scenes from "Cosi fan tutte" by Mozart, and as Notary in “L'elisir d'amore” by Donizetti.
He studied under Robert Honeysucker, Carol Mastrodomenico, and Noriko Yasuda.
He is not only singer but also a professional magician.
He has also studied classical ballet and jazz dance since childhood.

Takaaki Matsumoto; Experienced singer, dancer, Magician, actor and seasoned performer! Has worked for renowned companies such as "The Opera North" and studied under famed Baritone Robert Honey Sucker, Noriko Yasuda, and Carol Mastrodomenico. Taka has his bachelor's in music from Soai university, Osaka, Japan, His GPD at Longy school of music, and is currently working towards his Masters.
