About Skye
I have 12 years of experience as a singing tutor and hold a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, specializing in Lieder and Art Song. My passion lies in teaching vocal improvisation, especially for jazz and blues singers. I focus on key skills like scat singing, melodic embellishment, and advanced harmony to help students create their own unique sound. My approach combines ear training with practical application of scale and chord theory. This balance builds a strong musical foundation while encouraging creative freedom. I tailor lessons to fit each student’s level and goals, whether they are beginners or advanced singers. I work closely with students to develop solid vocal technique and confident performance skills. My teaching is personalized and supportive, designed to help you grow as an artist. Together, we explore how to find your individual improvisational voice.
