About Hannah
Hello musicians of the future!
My name is Hannah, I'm a passionate, positive, motivating and creative musician and tutor who aims to get the best out of each student being taught! I love teaching people of all ages- I obtain a valid Working With Children's Card. I have experience working at 4 music institutions for piano and voice in Bunbury and Perth since 2014. I am currently qualified from The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). I am also continuing my music studies at WAAPA this year.
I also have experience in stage performance and band performance (currently run my own band) and creative writing/ songwriting from Curtin University.

I take a combination of approaches as my history of piano learning has encompassed classical, contemporary and my main area of study which is jazz. My lessons encompass a richer learning and understanding of musical knowledge, not just the playing aspect. I believe in order to be a good player you need to develop good aural and rhythmic understanding- exercises around these topics are within my lessons. By developing skills such as these, eventually you rely less on a teacher correct your own playing/ add to your own learning. The process of learning music is never ending! I like to think I give my students the "tools" to help themselves become more independent learners.
