About Johan
Dear Student. I am Johan van der Merwe and I have more than 40 years of teaching experience. I have also been a senior marker of the National Senior Certificate for 20 years. I am very well qualified with a master's degree and have taught at reputable schools. I also have international experience and taught in Saudi Arabia for 2 years. I love teaching and can teach English, Geography and Afrikaans.

My approach to teaching is firstly to meet the needs of the learner. I would need to establish which teaching approach meets the needs of the learner and then adapt my teaching method accordingly. Teaching will occur in a relaxed environment. The learner should feel free to ask questions so that the learner eventually can gain confidence in the subject and ultimately master the subject. The learner must enjoy the session.
