Hi! My name is Yağmur. I am currently studying in the Western Languages and Literatures Department at Boğaziçi University. I am 22 and based in Istanbul. I know intermediate level Russian. My hobbies include running, cooking and photography. My values: Being open-minded, spreading inspiration, and being kind.

I value students' own input and participation more than passive learning and memorization. I plan each lesson carefully with games, other interactive methods, and homework. I work in collaboration with parents and send a report of what we did after each class. I have worked with children with fluctuating attention before hence I make changes to my teaching schedule accordingly and we can take more breaks if the student needs it. We will also have weekly spelling checks to improve vocabulary. Typical lesson plan goes like this: 1-hour classes x 4 times a week. OR 2-hour lessons with 10-minute breaks in between. (twice a week) We will focus on all areas as reading, speaking, writing and listening. I enjoy seeing my students develop confidence as each class goes by. I enjoy helping students so I offer free mentorship based on applying to universities, preparing for exams and ESC projects.
