About Abdullah
My name is Abdullah, and I am a Grade 11 student at Halifax West High School. I enjoy helping younger students learn and understand things they may find difficult. I am patient, organized, and I try to make my lessons comfortable and engaging so students feel confident asking questions.
Outside of school, I have experience teaching children through my local mosque, where I lead a weekly halaqa for kids and teach Quran, Seerah, Fiqh, and Islamic studies. I am also currently working towards an Ijazah in Quran. I enjoy working with younger students and seeing them improve over time, both academically and personally.

I offer tutoring for elementary and junior high students in general school subjects, including Math, English, and Science. My lessons are focused on making sure students actually understand the material rather than simply memorizing answers. I adjust my teaching style depending on the student, their level, and what they are struggling with, and I use explanations, examples, practice questions, and active recall to help them improve.
I also teach Quran and Islamic studies for children and teenagers. I am currently working towards an Ijazah in Quran, and I have experience teaching Quran, Seerah, Fiqh, and other Islamic topics. I lead a weekly children’s halaqa at Ummah Masjid, where I teach Quran, Seerah, Fiqh, and Islamic knowledge in an interactive way. I enjoy making lessons engaging through storytelling, questions, discussions, and activities.
My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, build confidence, and make steady progress.
