Hello! I'm Victoria, a seasoned sewing enthusiast with over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry. My journey includes owning a custom design brand, managing bridal store alterations, teaching fashion merchandise to high school students, and owning a menswear consignment store where I specialized in alterations and clothing revamping. I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and love for sewing with others. My approach to teaching is hands-on and tailored to each student's learning style. Whether you're a beginner eager to learn the basics or an experienced sewist looking to refine your skills, I'm here to guide you every stitch of the way. Teaching methods:
I believe in a hands-on approach to teaching sewing, ensuring that students not only understand the theory but also gain practical experience. My teaching techniques are tailored to each student's learning style and pace, focusing on building a strong foundation in sewing techniques, pattern making, and garment construction. With a bonus of how to run a business. I use a combination of demonstrations, guided practice, and constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and confidence
Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson plan with me includes a brief review of previous concepts, followed by a demonstration of new techniques or projects.
Students then have the opportunity to practice these techniques under my guidance, with plenty of time for questions and individualized feedback. I also provide resources such as handouts, and patterns for purchase.
