About Bryce
Hi, I'm a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Studies. I specialise in helping students bring their voices to life both on stage and in the studio. My lessons are designed for hobbyists as well as aspiring recording artists looking to refine their craft. I incorporate modern technology into every session, using DAWs, vocal processors, and studio microphones to simulate real recording environments. This gives students hands-on experience and confidence for studio work and songwriting. We focus on tone shaping, phrasing, harmonies, and lyric interpretation to create emotionally rich performances. Genres I love working with include R\&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian music. I guide students in expressing their unique vocal identity while staying true to the style of each genre. For both the Music Major and the Suzuki Student, I tailor sessions to meet high-level artistic and technical demands. Song selection is strategic—we choose pieces that highlight vocal strengths while showcasing range and emotional depth. I place strong emphasis on vocal tone matching, breath control, and dynamic shaping to create a polished, expressive sound. Vocal agility exercises help build flexibility and control, essential for both classical and contemporary styles. We rehearse with mock auditions to develop stage presence, confidence, and timing under pressure. Genre diversity is encouraged to expand adaptability and versatility. I integrate tools like backing track apps, lyric trainers, and pitch analysers to support at-home practice and track vocal accuracy. Lessons are structured yet flexible, focusing on steady progress and artistic growth. Whether preparing for conservatoire, stage, or competitions, students learn how to deliver performances that are both technically sound and emotionally compelling.
