About Trisha
I am a violin tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. My training is deeply rooted in classical tradition, which I use as a strong foundation to help students explore modern expression on the violin. I focus on essential skills like bowing technique, vibrato, phrasing, and interpretation, guiding students across Classical, Contemporary, and Cinematic styles. I have extensive experience preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, ensuring they build both technical skills and musical confidence. Additionally, I offer orchestral coaching to help students develop teamwork and performance skills in group settings. My lessons balance disciplined practice with creative exploration, encouraging each student to find their unique voice. Whether you’re aiming to excel in exams, perform with an orchestra, or simply enjoy playing new styles, I’m here to support your growth. My teaching approach focuses on building strong ensemble skills, helping students learn to listen and blend with others in group settings. I emphasise rhythm precision through carefully designed exercises that develop timing and coordination. This foundation supports creative improvisation, encouraging students to explore their own musical ideas while growing confident in their skills. I tailor lessons to suit each student’s goals, whether they are looking to enhance their expressive playing or develop a solid classical repertoire. I work patiently to build confidence, especially with those who are returning to violin or exploring new ways to express themselves musically. Through a supportive environment, students gain both technical ability and personal musical identity. In lessons, I incorporate practical techniques for phrasing, tone, and rhythm, while encouraging creativity and performance skills. Whether preparing for auditions, recording, or simply enjoying music, I help students progress steadily. My goal is to make learning violin enjoyable, rewarding, and tailored to each person’s unique journey.
