About Anvika
I am a violin tutor with over 2 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, specialising in Contemporary Repertoire. My training is rooted in classical technique, which I use to help students develop strong foundations while exploring modern expression on the violin. I focus on key skills such as bowing technique, vibrato, phrasing, and musical interpretation across Classical, Contemporary, and Cinematic styles. I have extensive experience preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, ensuring they build both technical proficiency and musicality. Additionally, I provide orchestral coaching, guiding students through orchestral excerpt preparation and ensemble playing skills. My lessons emphasise not only individual technique but also the importance of blending and listening within a group. Whether you’re working on solo repertoire or preparing for ensemble performances, I aim to nurture your confidence and musical voice. I believe in combining tradition with creativity to make your violin journey rich and fulfilling. Memorisation techniques are a key part of my lessons, making sure you feel secure and prepared for recitals and competitions. I guide students through step-by-step methods to internalise their music with ease. Preparing for live performances also involves building resilience and handling nerves, and I offer supportive coaching tailored to these needs. I have a strong track record of working with vocalists—both classical and jazz—helping them overcome stage fright and shine when it matters most. My goal is to empower every student to perform with confidence and artistry. Together, we’ll turn your nervous energy into focused excitement.
