About JD
I am excited to apply for the position of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Athletic Factory
Limited (Inside Running Rugby). With extensive experience as both a coach and athlete, I bring a deep commitment to optimising performance on and off the field, utilising a thorough understanding of how athletes and clients respond to training and exercise. I am highly skilled in developing tailored training
programs that align with both individual and team objectives.
As an athlete, I’ve competed within high-performance rugby environments, including with the Wellington Lions in the NPC, Darlington Mowden Park in England, the ACT Brumbies in Canberra, and the Southland Stags in Invercargill. These experiences allowed me to work under esteemed S&C professionals, fuelling my passion for performance coaching and enhancing my understanding of goal-setting and athletic progression. My journey in rugby inspired me to pursue formal education in sports and exercise, where I acquired valuable
knowledge and insights into effective training methodologies.
