About Ellie
I’m a passionate guitar tutor with 11 years of experience guiding students of all levels. I hold an Associate Degree in Guitar Performance, which gives me a strong foundation in both technique and theory. Over the years, I’ve helped students prepare for Rockschool, Trinity, and university-level guitar programs with confidence and skill. My teaching style blends structured learning with creative exploration. I focus on building solid technical skills while encouraging each student to develop their unique musical voice. Whether it’s classical, jazz, rock, or improvisation, I adapt lessons to match individual goals and strengths. I believe every student has untapped potential, and I aim to unlock it through patience, tailored practice, and inspiring challenges. My goal is not just to teach guitar, but to cultivate a lifelong passion for music. I make learning engaging, rewarding, and enjoyable. I encourage jam-based learning so students can develop spontaneity and confidence. I work with students to strengthen their skills in reading music, ear training, and developing a personal style. I believe every student has a unique musical voice, and I guide them to discover it. My method balances technical precision with creative freedom, ensuring both skill and passion grow together. I offer tailored practice exercises and real-life examples to make learning engaging. Whether a beginner or advanced player, I support each student in mastering their chosen style. I help them excel in disciplined practice while nurturing their love for music. My aim is to build not just technique but also deep musical understanding and confidence.
