About David
I am a performance graduate of Berklee College of Music with 7 years of private teaching experience both as a saxophonist and as a composer and music theorist. I have studied with major players such as Chris Bullock, Godwin Louis, and Jeff Lange (who played for Frankie Valli as well as the Temptations). I play professionally in many settings and styles all the way from free jazz in small clubs, to pop music and funk at weddings and corporate events. I wrote, recorded, and produced my own original album with my quintet and would be happy to guide a student through the writing and band-leading process as well.

I teach a wide variety of skill levels in many styles. My most important goal as a teacher is to work with the students naturally existing curiosity and help them to realize it efficiently and effectively. As someone who has learned music "by the book" and "by ear" I think it is important to find which of the two approaches is more effective for the student. Each lesson should be a dive into a specific interest of the student- learning a song, writing a song, or exploring the wonderful and strange sounds that only woodwinds are capable of making!
