About Madeline

My approach to education is heavily influenced by my experiences as a working professional singer. As a recent graduate of Indiana University, one of America's premier universities for vocal performance, I find great joy in learning and developing my craft through my continued practice and performances. I have sung principal roles with Charlottesville Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera, Ohio Light Opera, and Indiana University Opera Theater to name a few. My singing encompasses operatic repertoire and musical theater repertoire with equal respect to both. My expertise extends beyond singing technique to dramatic interpretation and movement in performance. I'm a firm believer that learning never stops and pass on my own technical breakthroughs to my students in a calm and fun environment that encourages fearlessness and experimentation.

About the lesson

Whether you have many years of training under your belt, or you're just getting started, my approach to teaching will build confidence, strength, and stamina in your singing. I teach clearly and methodically giving you tools and building blocks to improve your own practice. Some of the key concepts I teach include: breath support, tone production, flexibility, and dramatic intention. My teaching has something for all ages and ability levels!
