About Grace
As a seasoned professional in the field of world languages, I have served as the Department Chair for the World Language Department, where I oversee and guide the curriculum development and instructional strategies. With expertise as a Spanish Teacher, I have delivered comprehensive lessons in linguistics, literature, and AP Spanish Language and Culture. My proficiency extends to being an AP Spanish Language and Literature Teacher, guiding students towards success in these rigorous courses. Additionally, I have had the privilege of being a College Board Reader, contributing my expertise to the evaluation of AP Spanish Language and Literature exams. Greetings! I am Grace, a highly experienced Spanish teacher , with a remarkable 21-year tenure in the field. I have had the privilege of guiding over 100 professionals, including entrepreneurs, bankers, advertisers, teachers, personal trainers, nurses, and accountants, on their journey to learn Spanish from scratch.
My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and a Master's degree in Spanish Language, Literature, and Linguistics, as well as a Master's degree in Latin American Studies. These qualifications have enabled me to design effective educational programs and serve as an educational consultant and online teacher.
With 21 years of experience as a full-time Spanish classroom teacher at a K-9 High School level, I am well-versed in tutoring students of all ages and proficiency levels, from K to professionals. I have also successfully led numerous students in conversational Spanish practice.
Being a second language learner myself (English), I understand the challenges of acquiring a new language without proper instruction. Therefore, I am dedicated to identifying your unique learning style and developing a personalized and achievable learning plan, supported by tailored activities to facilitate effective progress.
