About John Tyler
I am a professional musician who has been playing in worship services for 7 years (bass, acoustic, backing and lead vocals, percussion) and teaching percussion part-time for 4 years. I've taught individual lessons as well as groups as large as 15 students, ranging from moderately experienced to being completely new to music.

I prefer to get my students playing as soon as possible. We'll start with basic technique, how to make chords, how to strum, how to feel rhythm, and how to tune your guitar. We'll go through how to read chord charts and tabs as well, so that once you have the basics you can start to learn some of your favorite songs.
