About Andrea
I'm a writer, editor, and educator. I've written seven books (novels and poetry) with a variety of Canadian publishers, and I have taught English and Creative Writing at the university level for over 20 years. I have edited independent work on a variety of subjects, and have worked with students at all levels of experience with writing.

I like to focus on dialogue and collaboration when teaching, allowing each session to be tailored to the individual student and their needs. I use a variety of methods, from reading and discussing texts to writing assignments, offering up information on the technical and practical devices utilized within literature. I am patient and empathetic, and very aware that different students require different approaches to learning. I firmly believe everyone can learn to write successfully with enough practice and direction. Specialties include English in various forms--literature, composition, and creative writing.
