About RYAN
I am a middle-aged father and husband and I live in Hertfordshire, just outside London. I studied Sociology & Political Science as an undergraduate and received my BA (Honours) from McGill University. I then worked in consulting for a number of years I later went on to do an MBA in Finance at Yale University. I worked in the City for several years and have direct experience of many of the subject areas that my students study. Despite my Finance background, I have always been drawn to teaching. My mother was a teacher and headmistress at a large school and I inherited my passion for teaching from her. Even as a youth, I was assigned students to tutor. I think teaching students is one of the most joyful and empowering endeavours a person can undertake.

My goal is to ensure my students understand the subject matter as well as possible. I have a kind and patient approach. As the father of two teenage boys I have learnt to adapt my teaching style to the student. My lessons typically last for an hour and are geared towards GCSE and A-level Business Studies students.
