About Joshua
I have always been interested in piano ever since the young age of 4. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing upright piano to inspire me to play and learn on. I would sit for hours and play the most horrible of songs which I would force my dad to listen to until he finally realised the only way to endure my constant playing would be if I improved. He then gifted me piano lessons in the hope of easing his suffering and also that this obssession of mine would hopefully grow into a talent. Luckily for him, his gamble proved successful, and now I am a pianist who has taught, been hired for events and is still growing. I hope that with my lessons I can push people of all ages to play piano to a good enough level where they can progress by themselves and stand on their own 2 feet. I understand the financial struggles that extra tuition may cause, and I also understand that people may not have been as priveliged as me to have a person to fund their lessons, so I hope that my price is acceptable and if it is still a struggle, negotiations are available.

I mainly teach ABRSM from beginner level up to grade 4. I am able to also teach Trinity but Abrsm is preferred.
I am personally a fan of teaching in person. I believe in guiding the student to learn from themselves with, of course, providing the help necessary to progress.
If the student is a beginner, i would then introduce them to piano, all note names, how to read music and then proceed to start them on a simple workbook which allows them to grow steadily.
If the student already has a certain level of understanding towards piano, I would test them and see what level they are currently at and then see which grade we can start or continue.
My lessons are for all ages, but as mentioned earlier I am able to teach from beginner level to Grade 4.
