About Grace
I am a third year college student who attends RIT, and I have been teaching young kids how to play the piano for about a year now. Not only that, but I have been playing myself for at least 15 years. Being able to combine work and play is an absolute blessing, and I’m so thankful that music has been in my life for as long as it has.

My teaching method is very simple. I start by seeing what the student already knows. Basic fingering is essential, so I will see how comfortable the student is with hand coordination, as well as identifying certain notes and rhythms. If they are a beginner, I am usually introducing sheet music by the third lesson, and I hope to eventually be able to incorporate teaching them songs of their own choosing. My goal is to allow them to play music that they love or are interested in, as I did not have that experience myself when I was taking piano lessons as a child.
