About Rahini
Hi, I’m Rahini! I’m a Year 13 NCEA student planning to pursue a Law conjoint degree at university next year. I know firsthand that English and literacy can sometimes feel a bit dry or overwhelming, which is exactly why I focus on making learning a comfortable, stress-free experience. I am patient, encouraging, and love helping younger students build their confidence. Outside of school, I really enjoy cooking, dancing and singing. My goal is to be a friendly, reliable mentor who your child actually looks forward to catching up with every week!
Growing up, I learned firsthand how much of a difference a patient, encouraging guide can make when you're stuck on a tough subject. That is exactly why I want to tutor. I want to be that reliable support system for junior and intermediate students. I genuinely enjoy helping others find their voice through reading and writing, and I want to show students that learning English can actually be fun.

Hi there!
I’m really excited to start helping students with their English! Whether it’s reading, spelling, grammar, or general literacy, my goal is to make learning fun and stress-free. I believe in taking things one step at a time and building a relaxed space where it's totally okay to make mistakes. We’ll focus on what you need most, at a pace that works for you!
My approach centers on a personalized, step-by-step method tailored to each student's unique goals and learning style. I cover reading comprehension, foundational grammar, spelling, and writing skills. My focus is not just on improving grades, but on building genuine confidence and a lifelong love of reading and literacy.
I firmly believe that hands-on learning works best, so my lessons are designed to be active and engaging—not a dreadful pile of endless homework and heavy theory. Instead of forcing students to stare at dull homework, my sessions are more toward discussion and practical-based. We will work through everything together in a relaxed environment where it is completely safe to make mistakes. I keep things simple, practical, and tailored entirely to what keeps your child focused!
