About Sophie
Hi! I’m a Year 10 English Dux based in the Inner West with over one year of tutoring experience in English Studies and Art.
I am passionate about English and love helping students grow in confidence, refine their writing skills, and deepen their understanding of texts. As a high-achieving English student myself, I understand what markers are looking for and can help students develop the skills needed to excel.
I tutor low to high potential students in grades 2-9 and aim to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. I also have experience with diverse learning students, contact me for any questions! :)

Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and school requirements. I can assist with:
- Creative writing (structure, vocabulary, originality, refining drafts)
- Essay writing (thesis development, analysis, structure, clarity)
- Studying and analysing set texts
- Advanced homework support
- Setting extension tasks to strengthen skills
Sessions are available at Marrickville Library Pavilion or other nearby Inner West locations.
Monday, Tuesday afternoons from 4.30pm
Thursday afternoons from 4pm
Saturday from 12pm
Sunday all day

$23 per hour (negotiable, please contact me first!!)

She's very patient, organised, and detail-oriented and really helped extend a number of classmates during English exam season.
