About Ty
Hi there! I'm Ty, currently I am a learning support assistant in a primary school within a Year 2 class, and I have First Class degree in BA (Hons) Child and Youth Studies.
In September 2020 I will beginning my teacher training, in the hopes of qualifying to become a primary school teacher.
I have previous experience working and teaching children aged 4 - 7, through work placements during my time at Loughborough College and the University of Derby.
At present I am a learning support assistant in a primary school within a Year 2 class. I also have experience working with and supporting a range of Special Educational Needs.

Where possible I like to make learning fun and interactive, I am a big believer in play based education.
I also try to tailor work around a child's interests, which can be vital depending a student's interest in a subject or topic.

I have worked alongside Ty as a senior colleague, within a primary school, for a period of two years. He is extremely dedicated and supportive to all of the students he supports. He is able to vary his teaching style to the need of each individual learner and has a fun nature that children instantly warm to and feel comfortable with. I have two children myself aged 9 and 5 and would without any reservations have him tutor them.⁷
