About Jamari Aero Academy
Captain (Lt. Col.) Ahmad Jamari Mohamad
Since 2006, Captain Ahmad Jamari has been actively teaching aviation subjects and continues to mentor aspiring pilots and aviation professionals. Throughout his teaching career, he has successfully guided students through the evolution of the ATPL syllabus, from the CAA ATPL and JAA ATPL to the current EASA ATPL curriculum.
With more than 40 years of experience in the aviation industry, Captain Jamari began his distinguished career with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). During his service, he was appointed Chief Flying Instructor and was awarded the prestigious Category “A” Instructor Rating by the Royal Air Force (RAF), United Kingdom. He was also a member of the renowned RMAF aerobatic team, Taming Sari, and served as the Chief Coordinator for aircraft fly-past formations during National Day celebrations, Armed Forces Day parades, and major air shows organized by the RMAF.
In recognition of his professionalism and leadership, he was selected to serve as a United Nations Military Observer. During his military career, he accumulated extensive flying experience on various aircraft types, including:
* Scottish Aviation Bulldog B100
* Cessna 402B
* Pilatus PC-7
* DHC-4 Caribou
* Aermacchi MB-339A
* Lockheed C-130 Hercules
Following his retirement from military service, Captain Jamari joined ITNS Flying Academy in Ipoh, Malaysia, where he continued his aviation career as a flying instructor and pilot. During this period, he flew:
* Eagle 150
* Socata TB10 Tobago
* Diamond DA40
* Piper Seneca III & V
Captain Jamari subsequently joined Firefly Airlines, where he served for 13 years as an ATR 72-500 commander. Over the course of his aviation career, he has accumulated more than 11,000 flying hours across military, training, and commercial operations.
In 2021, Captain Jamari retired from active airline service and dedicated himself full-time to aviation education. Today, he specializes in ATPL ground school instruction, covering a wide range of subjects under the CAA, JAA, and EASA syllabi. Renowned for his clear and practical teaching methodology, he possesses a unique ability to simplify complex concepts, connect theoretical knowledge across disciplines, and guide students from fundamental principles to advanced-level understanding.
His extensive operational experience, combined with decades of instructional expertise, enables him to provide students with valuable real-world insights that bridge the gap between theory and professional aviation practice.
