About Doris
"I admit that the most effective singing often happens when we stop trying to control every muscle and simply allow the breath to move. My lessons rely on the core techniques I learnt during my MMus studies, applied to your individual needs.
We address everything from sight singing and harmony to the delicate balance between head and chest voice. I provide free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes so you can maintain progress between our sessions. We work on rhythm and phrasing to ensure your performance has the depth it deserves.
Sometimes we spend time on exam preparation, and other times we focus purely on the joy of singing a new piece. Each step we take builds towards your long-term success on stage."

"The stage lights hummed with a quiet intensity the first time I performed, grounding me in the reality of what it means to stand before an audience. My 8 years of experience and training at the Royal College of Music have shown me that voice is both a physical craft and an emotional instrument.
I have taught hundreds of students, guiding them through the challenges of stage fear and vocal range extension. You might be an absolute beginner or an intermediate learner, but your journey is the priority. Vibrato control and diction are simply parts of the larger architecture we build.
My own path combined formal conservatoire rigour with a deep interest in performance. I know exactly how to guide you to your best sound."
