Ilker makes lessons fun and is well-prepared and adaptable. He's also taught me a lot of colloquial Turkish that textbooks and apps don't explain well.

I have been taking Turkish classes in a small-group format online with Ilker for two years. Classes are fun and I always look forward to it. Ilker brings a clear lesson plan to each class. Topics are cumulative and reinforce what we have been studying, addressing the major skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Ilker has a variety of printed materials and multi-media resources for us to use during class and for homework. Each student in the class has his / her own strengths and weaknesses and Ilker is good at explaining things in different ways so they make sense to everyone in the class. We learn a lot from each other as well. In the last two years of study with Ilker, I have been able to enjoy Turkish films and shows more than before, as well as speak with friends, and interact in daily life with confidence when I visit Turkey.
