About Jackie
Hi, I'm Jackie!
I am a professional photographer with over 15 years of experience working as a traveling photojournalist and documentarian. Observing, understanding, and capturing real life is at the core of my work. I am deeply passionate about creating images that feel strong, honest, and impactful photographs that tell a story and hold emotional weight.
My career has taken me across different countries, cultures, and environments, shaping the way I see the world and how I approach visual storytelling. This experience has trained my eye to notice subtle moments, human connection, and the details that give images depth and meaning. I believe powerful photography comes from awareness, patience, and intention as much as technical skill.
My work has been published in outlets including Rolling Stone, High Times, Fortune, and many others. These experiences continue to inform how I teach, combining professional standards with a grounded, real-world perspective. Whether behind the camera or working with students, my focus is always on creating images that feel authentic, compelling, and memorable.

My photography lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s goals, experience level, and creative direction. I work with learners who want a thoughtful, structured approach to developing both technical skill and a refined visual sensibility.
Lessons focus on camera technique, composition, lighting, and visual storytelling, with an emphasis on intention, observation, and creating images that truly stand out. Along the way, I share the industry tips and behind-the-scenes techniques I’ve learned through years of professional work practical insights that help you achieve photographs that feel polished, striking, and far beyond the basics.
Sessions are hands-on and engaging, combining guided exercises, real examples, and detailed feedback to support meaningful progress. My teaching style is calm, focused, and grounded in real experience, designed for students who want to deepen their craft, sharpen their perspective, and build confidence in their work over time.
