About Valerie
I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I specialize in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a break. My lessons offer a low-pressure, encouraging space where you can feel comfortable exploring your voice at your own pace. I focus on breathwork, vocal relaxation, and posture to help you sing with ease and confidence. Mindfulness in music is an important part of my teaching, allowing you to connect deeply with your voice and the songs you love. I guide tone development gently, tailoring techniques to suit your unique sound. I teach a variety of genres including Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult styles. Singing is more than just technique—it’s a form of self-care, creativity, and confidence that anyone can enjoy.
