About Carl
Carl Plummer, literary editor and published author of novels and TV scripts, studied Theatre Language and Cultural Studies before gaining his BA (hons) in Literature and Modern History. After completing his MA Foundation in English Literature, Carl went on to qualify for his FAETC (Further and Adult teaching Certificate) and CELTA (Cambridge Certificate English Language Teaching for Adults). After teaching in England, Carl taught in Paris, France and Tripoli, Libya before moving to China where he has taught at University in Xi’an and College in Guangzhou, and most recently teaching IBDP English A, English B, and TOK at OECIS (Shenzhen Oriental English College).

I have followed ATT and ATL approaches to teaching, giving students guidance while allowing them scope to explore ideas, challenge their ideas, and my ideas. Strong philosophical and TOK background to my teaching - not just for exams but preparing for university and adult life.
