About Phil
I am a full-time Technical Writer for a pharmaceutical company in Toronto. I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2015. I started an online conversational English program called Convo Culture in 2016 to help students improve their conversational English skills!

My niche is teaching conversational English, as I feel that this is the most entertaining and natural way for students to learn the language. I allow the student to direct the learning by deciding the topics that we will discuss for each lesson.
The first lesson is FREE! I use this lesson to analyze the student’s English-speaking ability, and to determine how to approach the future lessons. Students receive a corrections sheet at the end of every lesson, which shows the mistakes they made and the corrections to those mistakes.

At any lesson he finds the way to attract my full attention and he encourages me to talk more and more. His lessons are never boring, he always prepared different topics for me, focusing on those more interesting for me.
In the beginning I was not really motivated but, thanks to him and to our conversations, my interest in learning english grew bigger and so did the confidence in myself.
