About Julianna
"Completing my BA in Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge before earning my PGCE provided the bedrock for my 13 years of classroom teaching. I recall sitting in a quiet office in the UK drafting curriculum plans that would eventually guide hundreds of students towards high academic results. Since transitioning into private practice, I have narrowed my focus to GCSE, A-level, and rigorous Oxbridge entrance standards. Mastering accent and intonation is often the hardest part for learners, so I prioritise precise vowel sounds early on.
Grammar and verb conjugation act as the skeleton of my instruction. I integrate idioms and expressions naturally to move students beyond basic textbook phrases. Writing skills remain a core pillar of my approach for advanced learners. Interview preparation is a specific area where I provide critical feedback to candidates.
Helping intermediate learners, advanced students, travellers, and hobbyists navigate these complexities remains genuinely rewarding. Sharing the nuances of a complex language is the best part of my working day."
