About Katie
I’m a BSN-prepared nurse with over 30 years of experience across a wide range of clinical settings, including med-surg/telemetry, oncology, emergency and pediatric emergency care, poison control, flight nursing (PHRN), private duty, and healthcare IT as an analyst.
I’ve worked in both small community hospitals and high-acuity inner-city trauma centers, which has given me a well-rounded perspective on patient care across different environments.
I’ve been tutoring nursing students for a little over a year and enjoy helping make complex information more clear, practical, and easier to understand.

Perfect! It was great. We discussed all the work-related matters and goals, and we’re looking forward to working together. A very charming and serious person.
- Today we had conversations about her schooling and what she is looking to get out of these lessons. Ideally these lessons will help her understand nursing concepts from an English speaking perspective as she would like to take the NCLEX. English is not her primary language. Our focus will be on understanding nursing concepts and her ability to explain and understand them in English.
