About Lorraine
Beginners and advanced performers often come to me when they require technical clarity. You will find that my approach emphasizes posture and hand position from the very first hour. During my 9 years of teaching, I have observed that disciplined attention to pedaling technique and rhythm produces the best outcomes.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from The Juilliard School. My background covers everything from sight transposition and memorization techniques to classical repertoire and pop styles. I am a firm teacher.

Effective piano instruction requires a foundation built on absolute musical precision. 7.0 is the specific score I aim for in student technical evaluations.
I structure my sessions around a diagnostic playing assessment before we set a learning plan. This ensures we address accompaniment skills and timing issues immediately. My Juilliard training informs every technical correction I provide. I enjoy watching students master difficult passages through rigorous practice.
