About Ivy
I’m a passionate singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and hold an **Advanced Diploma in Singing**. I specialize in teaching young children and early teens, helping them discover the joy of music in a fun and engaging way. My lessons are filled with **games, movement, and storytelling** to make learning pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics exciting and memorable. I believe that every young voice is unique, and my teaching adapts to each student’s personality and pace. Through creative exercises and playful challenges, I help students explore their voices with confidence and curiosity. I love incorporating **folk songs, Disney tunes, and musical theater favorites** to keep lessons fresh and inspiring. My goal is not just to teach technique but to nurture a love for singing that lasts a lifetime. I guide students to develop strong listening skills, expressive phrasing, and healthy vocal habits. My voice lessons methodology is built on developing healthy, expressive, and confident singers through a balance of technique, creativity, and emotional connection. Every session begins with **breathing techniques** that strengthen control and support tone production. I emphasize posture, breath flow, and mindfulness to help singers achieve natural, effortless sound.
**Vocal health** is always a priority—students learn warm-up routines, hydration habits, and voice care strategies to protect and sustain their instrument. **Pitch training** is integrated through engaging ear-training exercises, using interactive apps that track accuracy and progress over time.
For **The Suzuki-style learner**, lessons focus on listening, imitation, and expressive phrasing. This approach builds strong musical intuition and emotional depth from the very beginning. For **The Orchestra Member**, I emphasize ensemble awareness, tone blending, and dynamic expression, ensuring their voice complements and enhances group performance.
**Performance skills** are developed through regular practice with accompaniment tracks, reflection, and stage confidence exercises. I encourage storytelling through song, helping each student connect deeply with the music’s meaning.
By combining structured training with creativity and technology, my goal is to help every student find their authentic voice—one that’s both technically strong and emotionally alive.
