About David
I am an Indie pop/Rock front man who writes and records all his own music! I grew up teaching martial arts and after graduating from Temple University in Philadelphia, I moved to LA to pursue a career in music! I've been teaching with the LA After School All Stars program for the past year since moving and have been playing shows of my own music as well as drumming for others. Growing upI never had a music teacher that taught me the skills that I actually wanted to know. So I pride myself on giving my students practical advice and catering each lesson to how they want it go.

Depending on my students age my lessons include a number of games (yes even adults get to play games). Although scales and exercises are a must my main focus is immediately implent those techniques into real world scenarios. That coupled with using the works of other musicians to teach us how to write and play our own (learn covers but understand what we're playing and WHY).
