About Emily
"Focusing on the student is how I work. It helps that I am quite flexible. We cover pitch control, belting technique, and performance confidence during our time.
You might explore vibrato control, rhythm, and phrasing. I also assist with breathing control, vocal range extension, and head and chest voice transitions. My 13 years of experience mean I can adapt warm-up exercises for any voice.
Beginners and advanced singers alike find these sessions useful for their exam preparation. Seeing you hit your musical target is the best part of the job."

"Singing felt like a natural extension of my voice early on. It is my main language. After 13 years performing with the Hallé Orchestra and other ensembles, I transitioned into teaching.
My BMus from the Royal College of Music provides the foundation for my 13 years of experience. I work with adults, teens, grade candidates, and hobbyists. My teaching practice centres on classical technique and choral repertoire.
I am known for being expressive and structured. I also like to keep things funny to lighten the mood. You will find that my approach prioritises clarity above all else. Learning should feel grounded."
